Baby Pain Bill Stalls! Your Action Need!!!

Dear Friend of Babies,

Senator Mark Obenshain’s SB 637 stalled in committee on a 7 -7 tie vote because Senator Blevins abstained.

That’s right!

Senator Blevins could not even protect children after 20 weeks of life.

Obenshain’s bill makes it a felony to murder a child after 20 weeks in the womb based on the fact that the child experiences pain when killed.

Senator Obenshain is running for Attorney General in 2013 and needs your vote.

It is now time for him to be a leader not just a bill sponsor.

You and I need a full senate recorded floor vote.

We need all the senators on the record NOT just some of the senators.

The rules allow for Senator Obenshain to move to suspend the rules and discharge the bill to the full senate floor.

Call Senator Obenshain at 804 698 7526 or email him at district26@senate.virginia.gov

Tell him, “I am with Virginians for Life and if you want my vote for Attorney General please be a leader and move to suspend the rules and discharge SB 637 from Committee.

Babies lives depend on it.

For the babies,
Kellie McHugh

Will VA Protect Habeas Corpus

Yesterday my dad testified the following in House Courts of Justice Committee in support of HB 1160
“My dad was a civil rights attorney in the Kennedy administration and he taught me that one of the most sacred constitutional rights was the right of Habeas Corpus.  So you can imagine my shock when I began seeing the news.  Did my eyes deceive me or did Congress actually suspend Habeas Corpus?  Our founding fathers understood the doctrine of interposition and I would argue that it is now your duty to interpose yourselves between Virginians and the tyrannical federal government.  The only thing wrong with this bill is that it does not go far enough.  It needs to task the local sheriff in each county to arrest any federal agent seeking to put American Citizens in a military stockade. Please pass this bill”

Del. Bob Marshall’s HB 1160 will prevent Virginia government agencies (state, local, National Guard) from assisting the federal government in the detention, failure to provide specific charges, apprehension, jailing, denial of trial or a date for such, and deprivation of counsel for any person suspected of terrorist collaboration.  The bill is before the Courts Committee Monday afternoon.
The National Defense Authorization Act passed in December has two provisions which allow an expanded use of US military to detain individuals including American citizens on suspicion of collaboration with terrorists.
Two sections of the federal law are problematic.  Under the NDAA a covered person could essentially be anyone the government decides to accuse of being a terrorist.  The federal government and the U.S. military is “required” under the NDAA to indefinitely detain without jury trial those foreign prisoners designated as enemy combatants or terrorists.
The federal government is NOT required to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens under the NDAA, but the feds CAN DETAIN INDIVIDUAL AMERICAN CITIZENS IF THEY WANT TO because the NDAA purports to provide authority for such detention!  This precedent was set for this “detention” by the Authorization For The Use Of Military Force Act passed after 9/11.
[Virginia is not legally or constitutionally required to assist the federal government in such cases.   Under Printz v. US (1996) the Supreme Court held that Montana and Arizona sheriffs were not required to become administrators of federal law by performing federally required background checks for the purchase of handguns.

The committee postponed a vote until next week because Chairman Albo has concerns.

Please contact Dave Albo and tell him to pass the bill.

The Biggest Lie in Politics

Dear Pro-life Virginian,

What is the biggest lie in politics?

Simple!

The biggest lie is that you and I are obligated to support the lesser of two evils.

That simply is not true but it is what the babykilling Mitt Romney campaign wants you to believe.

Below are four reasons it is not true.

1.  The lesser of two evils is still evil.  Remember we don’t have the option of electing Jesus Christ to office.  He is already in office as the King of Kings.  But He has given us qualifications for political office in Exodus 18:20-21.

2.  You are rewarding bad behavior and rewarding bad behavior will only get you more bad behavior.

3.  It demoralizes people and tempts them to opt out of politics or waste their time with a 3rd party.

4.  It is NOT even true.  It is not the devil I fear that is most dangerous but the religious politician quoting scripture that is most dangerous.  I can fight the devil everyone knows is a devil but it is very hard to fight and mobilize against the so-called lesser of two evils.

Remember, sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better.

Remember Carter came before Reagan.
Remember Clinton came before the 1994 take over of the House by Republicans.
And Obama came before the 2010 take over of the House by Republicans in the largest landslide in 70 years.

So please vote for qualified candidates on November 8th next week for the Virginia House and Senate.

Don’t buy into the lie that the lesser of two evils is better.

What About Herman Cain the Babies?

What About Herman Cain and the Babies?

I have good news.

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain pressed a no compromise pro-life view on abortion during a weekend interview with Meet The Press, and told host David Gregory he would not support abortion, including in cases of rape or incest.

“What about abortion? You want to overturn Roe v. Wade. Could you support or condone abortion under any exceptions at all?” Gregory asked Cain.

“I believe in life from conception, and I do not agree with abortion under any circumstances,” Cain responded. “Not for rape and incest because if you look at, you look at rape and incest, the, the percentage of those instances is so miniscule that there are other options. If it’s the life of the mother, that family’s going to have to make that decision.”

Pressed on the life of the mother exception, Cain stuck to his answer, saying, “That family is going to have to make that decision.”

Finally, an alternative to baby killing Mitt Romney.

Defunding Baby Killing Inc.

Greetings!

The battle over yanking federal taxpayer funding Baby Killing Inc, aka “Planned Parenthood” is back in Congress as House Republicans have unveiled new legislation attempting to remove its Title X funding.

Republicans tried earlier this year to de-fund the baby killing industry but Obama refused overtures from Speaker John Boehner to do so when Republicans and Democrats were working on ironing out legislation to fund the federal government.

As usual Boehner caved.

Section 524 of the bill now reads: “None of the funds made available by this Act may be made available for any purpose to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. or any affiliate or clinic of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. unless such entities certify that Planned Parenthood Federation of America affiliates and clinics will not perform, and will not provide any funds to any other entity that performs, an abortion.”"The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall seek repayment of any Federal assistance received by Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., or any affiliate or clinic of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., if it violates the terms of the certification required by this section,” the legislation continues.

Now, Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana, the chairman of the House Labor, Health, and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee has introduced new legislation to fund the federal government that prohibits any funds going to Planned Parenthood unless the organization stops doing abortions.

The question is will John Boehner finally take a stand for babies.

Will he continue to play politics as usual or will we hold something the Obama abort-o-crats want until they agree to stop funding baby killing.

Call John Boehner at 202 225 6205 and tell him to stop funding baby killing.

Funding Baby Killing Inc. simply cannot continue if John Boehner really does not want it to.

Trashy VA Abortion Clinics

Dear Friend of Babies,

A VFL member, Louantha Kerr sent us the following message and link to show the horrible, trashy conditions of many Virginia abortion clinics.

“I am hopeful that you’ll be willing to do a follow-up article that shows the truth about many of the abortion facilities in Virginia – they are shoddy, run down, dirty, unsanitary and unsafe.

I am providing a link to pictures of William Fitzhugh’s Peninsula Medical Center for Women in Newport News.  The pictures do speak for themselves.”

May God have mercy on us and He avenges the shedding of innocent blood.
